About or as we say in the upper portions of Michigan and all the way into Canada, Oh Canada! - Aboot. What about free pops? Soda? No! Pop!
One of my great, grandfather's in Canada - Hugh B. Graham - featured to the left. Appointed Chief of Police in St. Sainte Marie.
One of my Grandfathers, a Canadian Immigrant to the U.S., founder of G.W. Chemco, Hugh Ceciel Spencer Graham - twice funded by Weyerhauser lumber (in today's currency valuation 40 & 50 Million dollar investments).
After obtaining the rank of "Chief", Hugh resigned from the Canadian force, however, believe Hugh kept in touch with the Royal Canadian Mounties. (the Spencer line of Hugh being related to King Charles Spencer son Harry Spencer and having an unwavering loyalty to the British Commonwealth, some believe that was okay)
Hugh then migrated to America to seek riches as a Steel worker on the east coast. And being somewhat of an inventor, Hugh invented many things and formulas. Hence, partnering with David Weyerhausers' (of Weyerhauser Lumber) son in Pasadena and Altedena.
During that time Hugh re-married to Joy Dixon (who's father founded Asuza Pacific University in the greater Los Angeles area). Not too much else is known about Hugh, except that was somewhat of a hard driving business man that was somewhat difficult to be around, nevertheless, always was kind to those who were deemed as less fortunate.
Hugh died on X-mas day, December 25th of a heart attack while his son was visiting during his freshman year in college.
